I know that the bible are fictional stories written to send out a message or a lesson or to teach you a way of life so people are gonna take that message differently and contradict each other just like your answers and I think thats dangerous so why even bother. Alot of people in this world place their ways of life on this book and I care cause my family are some of them so how do you know their not hurting themselves or keeping themselves from enjoying life as they should.

Are their beliefs actually hurting them ? Or is it that their beliefs are causing them to rethink their lives and the changes that they are making are changing the dynamics of your relationship? Is what they believe making them better people or not? Obviously they believe very much in the bible and do not share your feelings in regard to the bible being a piece of fiction. What in life are they missing out on? Your question is very vague. You can't judge someones beliefs based on your own. We are all free to worship as we want. Obviously they are happy serving God they way that they are or else they wouldn't be worshipping in that fashion. You should be happy that they are happy!!! Maybe you might want to get to know a little more about their beliefs in order to understand them better.

I believe that the bible stories are indeed true, some of the religious leaders decided that the stories were there just to get a point across so they are now teaching this in the seminaries. Billy Graham was asked to join them in their teachings. He stated that he prayed about this for some time but refused to join them in their teachings because he feels that the stories are not fictional. Either way you believe the stories will not harm anyone who wishes to believe in them.

Some people need structure in their lives, a set of rules to live by and conform to. Others need to do their own thinking and make their own decisions. You can't choose how your family thinks. Just be glad that you have the ability to see beyond the strictures that they adhere to. Go you own way, but don't put down theirs. They feel safe in their beliefs and that's important to them, more important that your version of "enjoying life as they should."

The Bible is factual and is not contradictory. Adam and Eve were the first humans that God created.

If they believe the Bible, don't try to persuade them otherwise....You could cause serious harm to your relationship with them. I say this is one instance where you should keep your opinions to yourself.
