Do not strive for happiness. It is an emotion, and emotions are reliably unreliable lol. Just ask any woman two weeks before her cycle if emotions are steady, ask any person newly in love if emotions are reliable, ask any mother of a 2 year old if emotions can't change in a split second.
Rather, make peace and security and faith the things you want. Happiness is a great emotion. But genuine peace within your soul and the total security that the Creator has you in His hand and the faith that whatever comes you are going to be okay, these things are treasures.

Happiness tends to sneak up on you when you're busy doing something else. You don't search for it. It finds you. Do things you enjoy. Be with people who make you feel like a worthwhile person. Help others feel good about themselves. Make a conscious effort to make today a better day for yourself and others than yesterday was, and son of a gun, happiness just drops on by. With any luck, you'll be too involved in your life to even notice until you get ready for bed that night, and then you realize, hey, today was a happy day.

Lasting happiness is difficult to find if we search for such happiness in the wrong places (i.e., apart from the Christian God).
The wrong places can give us short term pleasure and/or happiness, but nothing that is long lasting and/or eternal.

Happiness is like a river that flows through us and feeds ourselves as a river that resides inside us all. Best wishes

It all depends on your mindset. If you want to be a happy person and you are happy with yourself....happiness is always right there with you!

i think so , some of us feel sorry for people and try to help them and we turn around and their stabbing us in the back. you fall in love with someone and they cheat on you . and you think you have friends and they ether dislike you or tell their friends about you . so i guess you love yourself and if anything needs to be done you do it yourself or find some to do it and stay arms length from them..
