Hi, I need some ideas for the new robot i'm plaaning to work on. it would be basically a navigational robot, autonomous. can someone please suggest some features that can be used in the robot, besides mere navigation, as in some apploication or sth like that..

Color recognition (for navigation or commands), heat sensors, movement sensor (to chase your cat or another robot for example), infra red sensors (see heat), IFR imaging hooked up to a camera/monitor for remote viewing/navigation by the operator in dark/low light environments, CCTV (same as previous suggestion for well lit environments), to name a few. How about mounting a smoak det. on it.
or a play back chip (5 sec. or so) and program it to only record and play back loud sounds.?

gps system, music, video player.
and may be like a black box in the aeroplane. it records what happened. it fire and water resist, and it can detected from far place.
