Keep all forbidden foods out of the house! Try eating small meals 4-6 times a day instead of bigger meals 3 times a day. This keeps you from getting hungry and keeps your metabolism working well. It's also good for keeping your blood sugar more regular. Try being as active as physically possible for you, but don't over do it. This will keep your mind off of eating, as well as helping you shed those pounds.

Dieting is never fun. It is extremely hard work. You need to recognize that this time it is life or death.

I recommend preplanning all meals. If possible, pre-package them too. Only allow yourself to eat those amounts. No more!

After you've eaten that meal, only allow yourself water or other permitted beverages. The water will help you feel fuller. I only wish it solved the eating habit. You will still want more food whether you need it or not.

This will not be fun.

A method I find helps is tapering down my eating before the "official" diet start. Eating less each day makes the start of the diet less tramatic. Too many people panic before starting a diet and eat a ton just before they start. Big mistake, it makes you super hungry.

It sounds like it is too late for you to taper down, so you need to go through the evils of severe portion control. If you can't live with that, try tapering down over a few days to your diet's requirements.

Good luck!

I was really successful (and still am) with weight watchers. You learn how to make better choices and eat healthier without depriving yourself. It really is not that hard but i would have given up after a couple weeks if it wasn't for Weight Watchers. I lost over 48 pounds in just 6 month. And i can eat things i love. Nothing is forbidden. Most important for me was to measure everything i'm eating and writhing everything down. I was surprised how small serving sizes actually are.... Good luck for you!

I lost 115 pounds in two years by using the "half" method. Make
half a sandwich. Take half a spoon full of potato salad. Pour half
a glass of milk. What ever you are looking at, take half. Enjoy it,
then wait at least 10 minutes. If and only if you are TRULY hungry, take another half. The weights been off for over 3 years now.

Think about the consequences of course.
Fruit like watermelon, papaya, grapes, etc may be on your diet and, if so, can provide a crutch when you are hungry. Vegies and fruits should be excellent for you condition I would think.

Try drinking a glass of water! Or look your self in the mirror and ask yourself life or sweets!
