For those who may not know exactly what it means, here is the definition; "Karma is a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do. The effects of all deeds actively create present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain in others."

Karma concept remains a truth, anyone believes or not. Truth does not depend upon people's belief.

Karma concept tells that what ever we do good or bad, the result will be borne by us.

There are poors, rich, ill, healthy, wicked, intelligent, religious, atheist all type of people. God does not throw a dice to decide what type of person HE will make.

It is our own Karma which decide what we would be.

Human soul needs billlions/trillions of lessons to learn before it reaches divinity. One birth is not sufficient for this.

Karma and reincarnation are the answer to all that puzzles us about the paradoxes in the world,

Asking if Karma is a realistic concept to believe in is no different than asking "Is there a god?" or "What happens when we die?"

NOBODY knows for sure. Nobody knows if we'll find out after we die, either. Karma is a belief and is tailored to an individual as much as religion, philosophy and spirituality. I tend to think anybody who believes in karma is likely to be a "better" person because most of these people believe that the sum when they die dictates what happens in the afterlife (or next life), but there are always those people who find joy and pleasure in the nastiness of things.

The concept of “karma” is an integral part of Eastern religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism. According to this belief, our lives are controlled by karma, a sort of cosmic cause and effect. If we do good things, we will have good karma that rewards us with good circumstances. And of course, the opposite is also true. When we do bad things, we will have bad karma that punishes us with bad circumstances.

The problem with the idea of karma is that it reduces good behavior to an exact equation. A person’s good deeds must outweigh their bad. If karma is a reality, we will all get exactly what we deserve. That should scare us.

That is not something we have to fear though. God’s grace calms our fears. Grace is the undeserved love and mercy of God that He will show to anyone who enters into a personal relationship with Him. It does not matter how evil we have behaved in the past. God is willing to wipe our slates clean. If we are willing to turn away from evil and to Him, we will not receive the punishment we deserve. But we will receive the blessings we do not deserve.

I think Karma is very realistic. I've seen many people get what they are deserving of, good and bad.

I've also personally dealt with instant Karma, which wasn't so fun. I said something kind of off-color to a friend once, turned around and tripped and fell flat on my face. That can humble someone real quick :p

Karma makes a lot of sense to me, it certainly explains a lot about what appears to be the unfairness in life. It also makes each person responsible for the pain in their own life.

i used to follow karma, then I bgan to wonder
if I follow the culture I am in and it condones acts I now see as bad, do I suffer Karma, why, I did not know better,
there is a belief that we have an instinctual knowledge of right and wrong,
i dont think we do, karma, like sin is a method of control in the society
we, as maturation occurs, dont hurt, not becuase of karma, or hell, or anything else, we dont hurt others simply because we know that hurting another is wrong, as humans we are growing into our humanity, too bad it seems it is too late,

It's realistic in the sense that all actions have results, and negative actions and thoughts usually have negative effects, and positive thoughts and actions have positive effects. Of course, this also depends on the situation.
