Two convicts are locked in a cell. There is an unbarred window high up in the cell. No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape. They then decide to tunnel out. However, they give up with the tunneling because it will take too long. Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell. What is his plan?

For the first one I'd say they stand on the bed AND on top of each other. But that couldn't possibly be 'cause there's an easier solution. One of them has sex with the guard and asks him to let him free.

For the second one, they couldn't possibly be both true or false. It's like saying "This statement is a lie". It's a paradox. If either one of them was false, then it could certainly work.
If I was a smartass, I'd answer "the following sentence is false and the preceding is true" (implying that the sentences you gave us did not refer to each other, but to other sentences)

1. One stands on the bed and the other stands on his shoulders and gets out.... Pulls the other one out too.
2. These sentences are false.Because the first sentence contradicts the second one.
