People are neither good nor bad, but their actions might be.
I read a quote once that said "The greatest gift you can give someone is the purity of your intentions."
I think as long as you follow that advice, you will most likely be considered a good person.

Everyone is good. The only issue is having a direct experience of Reality which gives one the direct experience that everything -- themselves, others, the whole universe -- is one and the same. This experience yields its own morality: one can't do 'bad' things because one would literally be doing it against oneself.
More to the point, the question of 'good' or 'bad' is part of the problem: it posits a separate self that can be described as 'good' or 'bad'. The SEPARATE SELF is the problem; resolve that delusion and the whole issue of 'good' and 'bad' goes away. Instead, we then just see people in various states of delusion. We do not know if a Mother Theresa or anyone else is coming from a state of complete selflessness; if there's a concept if their minds of them doing something for someone else, then there's still delusion. Even more practical, many people do good because they want some reward -- either eternal reward or something in themselves that tells them they're fulfilling the wishes of some deity. It's all still ego, which can be VERY subtle when trying to understand this.

Good people are just plain good people. Those who want to help others, those who aren't greedy or self centered, those who do good works for the sake of mankind. Further more, from a biblical standpoint good people are also those who follow the ten commandments, believe in God and the Jesus died for your sins.

nobody is good. everybody is evil.
since this question is in a religious forum, I'll put it this way:
the leader of our government, GW Bush, is a professed Christian.
Who illegally fights a war
who circumvents the constitution at his discretion
who has an IQ of negative 8
who has failed at every job he had prior to this one
and
who says God Bless America constantly
fkn hypocrite.
