that ******* energy? sigh. This existential dilemna will haunt us forever... and yet it fuels the cerebral and carnal fire of our being. Does that outweigh all the cons???

There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me is...

(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

This is the age old question that cannot be answer by cut/paste from dictionary.com. People have asked it for centuries, and people have used every medium possible to try to answer it.

The reason it is impossible to answer is because 'love' is a word created to describe a particular feeling, emotion, or desire. We as people then turn and try to give a definition of 'love' using as many descriptive passages as possible to describe the feelings, emotions, and desires of love and all we are left to do is recreate the word love.

All that being said, my descriptive passage to love is:

Love is that inner most, empty, gut-wrenching void, everything that apathy can describe, everything that is, is gone, the place that nothingness begins and ends, FILLED, overflowing with peace, joy, and deliverence from all that is empty and missing, without space to insert a breath, without time it lasts always. That is love, and yes, it is exhausting.

If the person loves you back, then it isn't a lot of energy. Find someone who will take it 50/50, or better yet, 100/100. Good luck!
