The right side is the right convex surface

The area between these 2 surfaces is called...

The answers pertaining to the eye anatomy is wrong. If you read the question carefully, it's pertaining specifically to the lens ONLY.

b. In the usual lens assembly,there maybe thin layers of spar varnish or other clear resin as a glue, and there maybe "air" space between some elements.(sometimes this is filled with very dry inert gas.)

Well in front of the lens is the anterior cavity which contains the aqueous humor. Behind it is the posterior cavity which contains the vitreous humor. I hope this helps..
