In the world community? Not really, and it is hard not to blame them. Lets face facts, the last time a large country basically took over a smaller country based on propaganda lies was Germany in 1938 when they invaded Poland. Anybody want to debate whether Germany was the Bad guy then? Well, the world sees us as the bad guy now and they are not wrong. The truly sad thing is that troops are not the bad guys, the Bush Administration is. But it is the innocent that always does the dying and the Bush guys just keep on lying.

I LOVE THE aMERICAN soldiers, they do a wonderful job of protecting American interests. A professor from Westpoint Military Academy said on tv about a year ago. I can't quote exactly but the drift was the American military job, contrary to what Bush says, has never been to spread freedom but to safeguard American interests at home and abroad. The military has been doing what they have been trained to do, and I believe some of the best spirited people in the U.S.A are being killed and we cannot spare them. I feel young men between 18 and 30, mostly from lower income families, are like lambs to the slaughter. I wish someone would send Paris Hilton to Iraq to see what kind of American she is, besides being a porno queen.

I do 110%. I'm a mother of a Marine and my brother-n-law is in the Army. I proudly display my American flag and to show support to my love ones I wear a Marine mom shirt and an Army shirt all the time and the way I see it if people don't like it they can turn their heads cause this mom and sister-n-law is and always will be behind our troops.
I think what the brave men and women are doing and did in the past wars takes guts and ALL Americans should love and respect them cause we owe our troops so much cause they are what gave and are keeping our freedom.
Also for some of the people out there that thinks Military troops are all about wars you are wrong. The people where I live ( in Southern Alabama ) owes much more cause when hurricane Ivan hit us here in Gulf Coast they ( the Military ) feed us, gave us water and ice when we didn't have any. They drove through the Hurricane just to get to us and I for one felt safer knowing they were here.
So as you can see our troops do so much for American people everyday and puts their lives on hold for us.
TO THE AMERICAN TROOPS: THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING AND FOR BEING THERE FOR US !!!!!!

First of all I want to let you know how hurtful you question is. I hope that you have came back to see that we the people of the United States Of America love and support it. My husband is leaving in less than 2 weeks to go and fight for the better good. When I meet or see people like yourself I get very upset. If you hate this country and do not support it then you need to get out of it. Go over to Iraq and try and have the freedom that we have here. You do not deserve to live here where we have such fine people to defend us. If our soldiers were not over there fighting the " bad people " as our children call them. Then they would be over here blowing us up. You should thank God that you can go into a store or open your mail or ride the subway without fear of someone plotting to blow you up.

American military? Sorry, IMO, the members of the "military" are collectively like members of a street gang. They even wear special "colors". The only difference is, those in the military have bigger more expensive weapons and richer employers.
Individual members of the military, many members of my own family, are good people at heart, but so are many street thugs who get caught up in the idea of defending the neighborhood at the end of a barrel.

I have and always will support them well beyond 100%. I know a lot of people in the military, some are just starting their first week of the Naval Academy, and others are in Iraq. But even if I knew none of them, I would still fully support them.

Not me. The soldiers are doing their duty, which is commendable, but they are being destroyed for an unjust and immoral cause. The government is abusing the soldiers by appealing to their sense of patriotism in a very similar way that some imams are appealing to the faith of the young men who become suicide bombers. I do not want my fellow country men and women in the service to be wasted in an illegal action so the stocks of Halliburton can shoot through the roof. The troops are good people, their leaders are not.

frankly i think this is a LOADED QUESTION?? what i believe you mean to imply is that if you don't support our illustrious president than how can you support the troops?? well what you all have to remember is that soldiers usually do not start wars! politicians do! most military members below the cabinet level have no choice but to follow orders under the UCMJ!! i don't blame anyone in uniform for our situation in Iraq and elsewhere. I BLAME THE POLITICIANS THAT SENT THEM THERE!! so yes i support the men/women in uniform , but the damn crooked politicians are getting them killed in IRAQ just like in Vietnam. maybe 58k dead and a new wall in d.c. from now, people will say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH????????????????????????????????

Many, in fact most people do. They are too busy taking care of their own business and leading productive lives under the umbrella of protection the military provides. They do not as a rule have the time to be as vocal as those who do not have much to offer society other than complaint.

this is the way i see it you can agree or disagree that is up to you.
As Americans we have an obligation to our soldiers regaurdless of where they are sent and why they are there.
Here is what i mean...our soldiers fight for our freedom and our way of life. that is their job, that is what they signed up for. At least that is the reason i signed up and did my time.
It is the American's duty to support their troops. They don't say hey lets go to war. oo oo lets bomb this country over here and see if we can find something to fight over. they are told where to go and how long to be there for. for this reason alone we need to support our troops.
If we want things to change we as americans need to change it and change the system of how the soldiers get where they are and why they are there. The little pee on soldiers don't give orders they follow them.
People on here ask who or what is going to start WWIII, i say that it is a draw between america starting it and religion. But we need to support our troops because with out them we are nothing but a country with no foundation.
