According to most Christians, Jesus was God-incarnate, full man and full God. Can the finite & the infinite be one? "To be full" God means freedom from finite forms & from helplessness, & to be "full man" means the absence of divinity.
Christians assert that Jesus claimed to be God when they quote him in John 14:9: "He that has seen me has seen the Father". Didn’t Jesus clearly say that people have never seen God, as it says in John 5:37: "And the father himself which Has sent me, has borne witness of me. You have NEITHER HEARD HIS VOICE AT ANY TIME NOR SEEN HIS SHAPE"?
Matthew 1:23 says that Jesus would be called Immanuel, which means "God with us." Why does no one (not even his parents) call him Immanuel at any point in the New Testament?

If Jesus was God, why did he tell the man who called him "good master" not to call him "good" because accordingly, there is none good but his God in Heaven alone?
At no point in the four Gospels did Jesus claim to be the son of your god. (He said "son of man" quite frequently, and at one point referred to himself as "a son of God," but that was a common Hebrew expression at the time. Someone who was "a son of god" was a Jew. This reflected the Israelites' belief that they were the chosen people of God. See Job 1:6). Why, then, do you believe that Jesus was divine?

Did Abraham or any of the other prophets ever preach the "crucifixion"? Did they preach the "Trinity"? If you are not sure then why not ask the Jews who we are told faultlessly transmitted two thirds of the Bible to us? Have any of them ever worshipped a Trinity?

I don't know which question you are asking, but as far as the three in one, I understand how it is difficult for us to understand. St. Patrick explained the Holy Trinity using the visual representation of the shamrock...the shamrock has three leaves, or three different parts, yet they are all connected (part of the whole), just as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three different, yet together.

Jesus wasn't helpless. He could have sent an army of angels over those who condemmed him at any moment, but that would have defeated the whole purpose of him coming. He had to let all this happen to him (take the sins of the world) and serve as the sacrificial lamb so that we may have a new life and be able to stand before God (which leads us to your original question). I know it's confusing, and there are times when you think about it when it seems clear and times when it is incredibly difficult to comprehend.

As far as not calling him Emmanuel, I sure hope that we haven't been mistaken and all along the real Messiah is Emmanuel Lewis from the hit television show Webster. If that's the case, then the world is in for a great big shock when that little guy releases his wrath upon us!

The Bible of The Christian Faith can not be fully revealed to any not Accepting the Leading of The Holy Spirit (the third of The Trinity) . When you are ready to do that then Go to God and tell Him. Honestly that you are coming to Him in The Way He proscribes... And it must be in The Way He proscribes. Then you can begin to "study" God's Word. You have not studied nor will you comprehend untill you do this.

As for The Trinity... it is God The Father, Jesus The Christ, and The holy Ghost. It's just that simple... and that is all you could possably truly know from any reading with out the leading of the Holy Spirit.

For more on The Trinity you may read my pov if you like, which is from a Christian Faith pov. It is on my web site at:

Jesus is not God, he is the Son of God (which makes him a God in most people's books). He was sent to earth to die for our sins. When he was born, he was a man (no doubt a holy man). When he was crucified and died he was still a man. When he rose from the dead, he was now a God. After Christ rose from the dead and left the earth, then the apostles were filled with the "Holy Spirit." This was an invention of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church also came up with the idea of the trinity; the father (God), the son (Jesus) and the Holy Ghost. So now Jesus is a God, and according to the holy trinity God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost are all the same. It doesn't have to make sense, it's a religion.

An old friend of mine ( a Lutheran minister) once said that the easiest way to explain the theory of a triune God is to imagine an egg.
The yolk, the white and the shell. Singularly they're part of the egg and seperately the can be refered to as egg but the three together are an egg.

We humans put too much emphasis on our interpretation of our English language and human intellect to describe how a "God" would feel.

If God is truly an omnipotent universal force, I most certain that Earth is not too high on his list of priorities. I am constantly amazed at the arrogance of we humans.

We preach to ourselves that we're made in God's image and in reality we couldn't be further away. We are the only animal on this earth who's sole intent is to destroy it.

Doesn't sound like God's image to me.

Biblicy yes. How this it to be believed is based on faith and not on our human understanding. I personally disagree that Jesus is God (all in one). If that was the case then why was Jesus praying to his "father" in the garden before he was taken to be crusified. I think the spirit is just God and Jesus was just the son of God sent to spread a new message.

When Christ was baptised by John the Baptist, he was in the river Jordan. Heavenly Father (God) spoke from heaven, saying, "This is my beloved son...", and the Holy Ghost descended as in the form of a dove.

Three different personages, doing three different things.

They are "one in purpose," (which is what Christ means when he says "I and the Father are one," and "he who hath seen me, has seen the Father"), but they are three separate and distinct personages.

I believe that Christ is the literal son of the Father, which is why he posessed divine qualities (performing miracles, raised himself from the dead) but also qualities of a mortal.

God has considered one of two definitions. interior the hot testomony, the notice God (theos interior the Greek) referred maximum oftentimes to the guy of the daddy, yet as time handed, the notice God additionally got here to be utilized in connection with the character or substance (ousia) of all 3 persons of the Trinity. Which definition Christians are using relies upon on the context; whilst we are saying Jesus is God, we recommend he possesses a very divine nature/substance, yet whilst we are saying Jesus is the Son of God, we recommend he's the Son of the daddy.

you need not only read your bible over again, but you also need
to study it and find out what is actually meant in any given scripture.
And stop being so nit-picky about things that don't matter. You need to concern yourself with the salvation of your soul
