the Bible says that doing good isn't the criterion for getting to heaven. Perhaps anyone who desires and strives for absolute purity could make it. But the biblical criterion is recognising that, perhaps despite the fact that we may think we've lived good lives, we're still sinners in need of a saviour, and so we should accept that Jesus Christ allowed himself to be killed on a cross so he could take the punishment for our sins, and we should turn away from everything we know to be wrongdoing. I personally am thankful that getting to heaven doesn't depend on how good we've been. If the criterion for getting to heaven was being good, then people who made a sincere commitment to Christ not long before they died after having lived immoral lives would find themselves going to hell despite their latter commitment to follow him and turn away from their sins, because the number of years they had spent sinning would far exceed the amount of time they later spent doing good. Or if they'd done one thing that was very bad but then spent years regretting it, it might still outweigh all the good they'd done and be enough to get them sent to hell, particularly since no one can be entirely good and everyone does things that aren't good throughout their lives. But the love of Jesus extends to people who've spent years doing evil things, if they'll only sincerely accept him and turn away from them.

However, the Bible does say that there will be a time when it will be too late. In several places it says that on Judgment Day people will be judged according to their actions, and those who have done good deeds will go to heaven, while people who have rejected Christ and done evil will go to hell. It also says that people who have relied on their own efforts to get to heaven and yet have rejected Christ will not get there. And it warns people who think they can rely on their own goodness to get to heaven while not admitting how sinful they really are that in fact they are not pleasing God.

Acts 10 and 11 tell the story and conversion of Cornelius. He was a devout man, feared God with all his house, gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always. Here is a very religious man which if we conclude by way of reading these 2 chapters will never be saved. In 10:6 "Simon...tell thee what thou oughtest to know." What should he know is the "...words whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved", Acts 11:24.

If a religious man still cannot be saved, how can then be a non-religious man?

Be baptized for the remission of your sins and be saved. Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38.

No, you won't go to hell. No physical place such as hell exists. We all end up back in the spiritual dimension to continue on with our "real" lives with God.

God doesn't judge us because God is not a being or an old guy with a long beard and flowing robes sitting in a throne in some heaven in outer space somewhere.

God is the formless, genderless, omnipresent, eternal energy source and the process of life itself. This God is all-loving. The concept of "sin" is but a human construct, designed by the early religious leaders to control the masses through fear-based living.

So, no worries. Go right on doing your thing and being your own unique, wonderful self.

Christianity does not hold that simply being a nice person will get that person into heaven, or spare that person from hell. In fact, a nice person might find it hardest to seek God simply because a nice person probably has so many things going well for himself that he might think he doesn't need any sort of God in his life. However, treating others the way you would want to be treated (Golden Rule) and charity (love of your fellow human, but not necessarily that person's actions) are valued in Christianity. Many Christians accept the idea that many people belong to Christ, and don't even know it. Many non-Christians live according to the Beatitudes of Christ better than many Christians. I don't claim to know who will enter Heaven or Hell; the knowledge of that moment will happen when each of us wakes out of this dream we call life, and we are faced with a reality that will either overwhelm us with joy or strike us with terror. If you want to understand what most Christians hold to be true, I suggest you read Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.

10The person who puts his trust in God's Son knows in his own heart that Jesus is the Son of God. The person who does not have his trust in God's Son makes God a liar. It is because he has not believed the word God spoke about His Son. 11This is the word He spoke: God gave us life that lasts forever, and this life is in His Son. 12He that has the Son has life. He that does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:10-12

(A). Eternal Life Is found Only in Jesus Christ. He who has (believes & Confesses) Christ Will Go to Heaven when they Die, Those who don’t, wont. It is that simple.

(B).. How do You know that you have Christ ?

9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

(C.) Only Believe In Christ and You will be assured for Heaven my Friend !

16-18"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn't go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person's failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.
John 3:16 (The Message Bible)

(D) Your Goodness is insufficient Only Christ Qualifies you for Heaven.

23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

Jesus and Nicodemus John Chp 3
After dark one evening, a Jewish religious leader named Nicodemus, a Pharisee, 2 came to speak with Jesus. "Teacher," he said, "we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are proof enough that God is with you."
3 Jesus replied, "I assure you, unless you are born again,* you can never see the Kingdom of God."
4 "What do you mean?" exclaimed Nicodemus. "How can an old man go back into his mother's womb and be born again?"
5 Jesus replied, "The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.* 6 Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven. 7 So don't be surprised at my statement that you* must be born again. 8 Just as you can hear the wind but can't tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can't explain how people are born of the Spirit."
9 "What do you mean?" Nicodemus asked.
10 Jesus replied, "You are a respected Jewish teacher, and yet you don't understand these things? 11 I assure you, I am telling you what we know and have seen, and yet you won't believe us. 12 But if you don't even believe me when I tell you about things that happen here on earth, how can you possibly believe if I tell you what is going on in heaven? 13 For only I, the Son of Man,* have come to earth and will return to heaven again. 14 And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so I, the Son of Man, must be lifted up on a pole,* 15 so that everyone who believes in me will have eternal life.
16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
18 "There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. 19 Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20 They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants."
I hope this helps! Peace.

We cannot say who goes to hell and who doesn't, by doing so we sin ourselves in pride. However, if you really want to know I suggest a deep prayer session with God to ask Him. He alone tells the truth and He alone determines where you go so it is He alone whom you must answer to. I will say that before I became a Christian I thought i was a "good person" it was realizing that I was not that ultimately made me realize that I needed to turn to Jesus for He alone is Good. If you look at your life I'm sure you will find areas that you are not proud of. It is my experience that Jesus fixes those. God bless you.

Yes, that is according to people who believe the bible is 100% true, without error. Cause to them the only way to heaven is to believe that Jesus is Lord and that He died for you. I disagree with this whole concept, cause what happens to all those people who pre-dated Jesus or those who just never heard the message or those like you who are just good people overall. I don't think the God who created us is like what is in the bible at all.

The only "hell" you need worry about, is the one you create for yourself here on earth. If you live a life you are at least content with, can look yourself in the mirror every morning and like the person you see there, then you're doing better than a lot of people.
