there's a lotion called After Sun it has aloe vera in it. but for right now as bad as it sounds you need to go to your local flower shop and buy an aloe plant. pick the leaves off and break them in half, squeeze out the juices and rub it all over your back. There's always aloe vera gel, but that just makes your back feel sticky. try to keep your back free from clothing as much as possible, like sleep without a shirt on, if you have a shirt that ties around the waist and neck so your back isn't being covered that is good. you don't want to cover it up too much, it'll just keep the heat in. I know all about what you are going through my back was burnt really bad a couple of weeks ago. sleep on your stomach as much as possible. and when your burn has gone away a bit, start to put baby oil on it to keep it tan, otherwise it will pell away. also your back will start to itch bad when the new skin is growing. i found that a spoon worked best to scratch it without hurting it. well hope you get unsunburned fast. *smile*

Your skin is burnt. There isn't much you can do except wait for it to heal. The aloe is supposed to help soothe it, maybe help it heal a little faster. They suggest aloe because you don't want to put lotion on it as the lotion contains oil which will hold the heat in. Make sure you are drinking lots of fluids too. If the burn is very bad you might consider seeing a doctor as there could be a risk of infection. And please do NOT put lysol on it. Bad idea. You can take tylenol or ibuprophen to help if it's painful. That's all I can think of.

Use a little bit of aloe vera lotion. You don't want to coat it because not as much heat will be released. it it is purple I would definitely consult a doctor as soon as possible.
And i don't want to sound like a mom, but next time try not to fall asleep on a hot beach and wear some higher SPF sunscreen.
I hope it all turns out okay.
Remember skin cancer kills more people than any other type and numbers are increasing.

That is the worst pain, try Aloe Vera, it will sooth the burn, if you can't find that, cold cream will help. If the blisters are really bad, and opened, you should see a Doctor.

Here are a few tried and true options, milk sounds crazy but the latic acid in milk helps the sting add to bath water cool bath water, green tea bags (soak in cold water) than apply bags to burn, noxema, solarcain, solarcain also comes with aloe vera gel, but if your burn is as serious as you say then go see a doctor they can prescribe a burn medicine.

It smells awful, but helps fast... it's vinegar. It draws the heat & swelling out. I cooked one time on the backs of my legs (behind the knees) & was so swollen I couldn't walk. A friend told me to use vinegar... used it & got better faster than anything else ever did it for me. Just fold & soak a wash cloth (a lot) with vinegar & apply... keep repeating as often as you feel the need.
