I went to the library but they have pulled all of their bankrupcy books off the shelf and are waiting for the publishers to send them new versions due to the changes. If you know of one what is the title and author?

At larger office supply stores-like "Staples" they have the legal kit to file the bankruptcy for yourself.. If you own no assets, it's pretty much a snap. However if you have real estate, stocks, bonds, liquid assets etc... You would be better off hiring the attorney.

Yeah, you can go to the sources listed above...check the internet for the locations of the bankruptcy courts. They have forms too.

But remember...if you make one mistake...missfile one form....incorrectly fill out something....or don't follow the process to the letter, the judge will dismiss your bankruptcy. And according to the new bankruptcy laws, you wil have a difficult time filing a new case for one year.

I do not recommend anyone file their own bankruptcy. I've even seen experienced bankruptcy attorneys mess up cases. And you think your better then they are?

google "chapter 7 filing kit" and check out your hits. one is an ad for the largest consumer bankruptcy law firm in the U.S. depending on the fee they plan to charge, using a law firm may be a good idea.
