Talk to her and let her know of your concern for her health. See if she will share with you the real reason behind her not eating. Is she depressed? Could it be medication side effects? Is she anorexic? Help her get to the root of the problem or, if her health is in immediate danger, seek a professional counselor, physician, or eating disorder specialist.

Pegasus 90 is right. Start off slow and gentle. Since she hasn't been eating, breaking her fast too quickly or heavily can cause severe cramping and digestive and internal problems. What she has been doing isn't the worst thing in the world - she may be listening to her body which needed to purge itself. Give her some watered down Ensures (1 part Ensure, 1 part Water) at least twice per day. Give her some salt free soup and find out what sorts of gentle foods she likes: jello w/bananas? smoothies and slushies... but be sure to steer clear of sugar and salt. Above all she should be drinking lots of water so now may be the time to splurge on one of those cool Starbucks thermoses or something attractive or convenient..sounds like she needs cheeriness. Lastly, get her a good liquid vitamin (they taste good, too and could be added to fruit smoothies) such as Source of Life liquid vitamins.

Will she drink stuff? If you can get her to drink, get protein in smoothies down her.
Is she talking to anyone about why she wants to die? Not eating anything will get her there in about 10 days to one month. If she is not drinking any water, she will die in about 3 days to a week.
It sounds like she is eating or drinking something.
If she has parents, or family, they should be alerted. If she is on her own except for you, call the County Health Department and ask for their advice.

Maybe caused by pain medications.
Offer her foods that she likes . Give her frequent snacks though out the day.
Gatorade is good . It will keep her electrolyte balance up.
MIlk shakes are also good and so is Ensure or a product like that.

as hard as it may seem she will have to do it on her own. Try to put her favorite foods around her though it may help to get her going again.
