Whatever the theme, you should pick 2 colours for the walls and accent that you will always like. That way, if you get tired of your theme and want to change it, you can just change the decorations.

I would first ask what age you are? Knowing an age might make it easier however, you could go many different ways - asian, sports themed, girl themed meaning light colors - yellow, light blue, pink, etc.., could themed, what ever your favorite colors are paint it that color and find accessories that you like to go with it.

If it is a bedroom, you should make it something that soothes and relaxes you. Is that a beach, desert, or no theme at all but maybe a certain colour? Whatever that is that is what you should use in your room.

It depends first of all what you like, then really think about it, is this something you always want to look at, and what kind of response are you going to get from people you invite over. You want it to be you, the relaxed and happy you. Dont use dark colors all over the walls, sometimes it can make you feel depressed. Remember colors have an efffect on your psychological thinking. Have fun!!!!!!!

Start at garage sales - find something, anything that you really love like a blanket or curtains and take your cue from that - think about what it reminds you of. You might find something vintage and that is always fun, like 1950's Hollywood or a 1920's Chicago Speakeasy. Research the era and build on that.

I only redecorated my room with the hawaiian topic myself! :) I went to interest foyer and offered hula skirts and positioned those in the course of the best of my abode windows, and then I were given seashells (I were given mine from the easily sea coast, yet you need to purchase 'em too!) and that i connected those to the body of my bulletin/wipe off board (it became out lovable!) I only left my bedspread a undeniable, bright orange colour. the colour topic of my room is: bright yellow walls, bright orange, magenta pink, and lime eco-friendly upload-ons! in my opinion, i love it! :) yet another component: I percentage my room with my cat, so I made her a "Kitty Kabana" out of an umbrella. There for awhile interest foyer had paper umbrellas, and that i took one and stuck it down right into a bamboo pole, and connected it to a chunk of timber. Then I only took a towel and wrapped it around the bottom like a sea coast towel, further some rafia to the best so that you may want to no longer see the position the umbrella and the bamboo pole met, and it became out extremely lovable! wish this allows some! :)

My sister-in-law's room is in black and red times, with white accents. Very cool looking. Coke merchandise is everywhere, and the vintage stuff looks soooooooo neat!
