Paul writes that we Christians are Jews, circumcised not of the flesh but of the heart. When Abraham looked to the stars as his descendants, that God promised the number of, he was looking at his descendants by faith, holding the same faith the Abraham had. When Abraham looked to the sands of the earth, as his descendants he was looking at his physical descendants.

Reading Romans 9-12 should shed some light, if you can understand it. God has a plan for his chosen people. Reading through the bible, God chose a people through a covenant made with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob(or Israel), the father of the twelve tribes of Israel. By having a chosen nation God embarked on a massive illustration of a relationship between God and Mankind.

Through this God prospered the nation when they were faithful to him and kept his laws. God also brought disaster on them when they were unfaithful. He gave them the Law to show His standard for right living. It also showed that they could not live up to it. Time and again the nation failed, and it split into two kingdoms and one side was eventually wiped out and the other side exiled.

Because Israel had completely lost the plot, God decided he would open the gates for the gentiles (non-Jews) and when Jesus came and died and rose again, the way was open for both Jew and Gentile to be saved in a way that enabled them to meet the high standards of the Law and also be able to deal with sin - Jesus died for our sins, freeing us to enter heaven by God's favour alone, not any effort we make because we just couldn't undo our sin, nor could we fulfil the high standards of the law.

As God prospers non-Jews the idea is that Jews will be jealous and return to God. Christians are literally "little Christs", that's what the term can mean. Like Jesus, God's Spirit lives in every christian and they can do the same things he did, if they believed so and walked in faith. But also every christian has God's Spirit as a sign that they are citizens of heaven now.

So the Jewish religion is really something that was supposed to point to Jesus, the promised Messiah. He came to fulfil the law for us because the Law in the Jewish religion was made to show that God's standard couldn't be reached by us, only met by someone who could be both fully God and fully Man. Only Jesus could, and anyone who believes in him is saved.

If you wish to commit your life to Jesus, Pray and say that you believe that God created you, that you instead lived a life that was against God which means living in a way that broke the law, a sinful life. Everyone has done this. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that he died for your sins and paid the price. Believe that if you give your life over to God's control you will be saved. Choose it and say it to God. And you are forgiven, and what jesus did on the cross has been claimed and is now true for your life. Find a good church where you see something of God's love in the people, and one which holds to the bible as God's word.

The Israelites (descendants of Abraham) are God's chosen people. Everyone else is a gentile. Gentiles that convert to Judaism are called proselytites and have no true heavenly claim.

Through Christ all humankind are eligible to be heirs.

Thank You. Paul said what?

WE ARE ALL SPIRITUAL JEWS THROUGH CHIRST.

THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT WILL ENTER THE NEW SPIRITUAL JERUSALEM IS THE SPIRITUAL JEWS THROUGH CHRIST.

Jesus came to fulfill the prophecy. THE CHOSEN PEOPLE ARE SPIRITUAL JEWS. NOT OLD TESTAMENT JEWS. JERUSALEM IS THE CHOSEN LAND. FOR THE NEW SPIRITUAL KINGDOM.

GREAT QUESTION.

"Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD. "But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. "They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the LORD, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."
(Jeremiah 31:31-34 NASB)

"Have you not even read this Scripture: 'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone;
(Mark 12:10 NASB)

"BEHOLD, MY SERVANT WHOM I HAVE CHOSEN; MY BELOVED IN WHOM MY SOUL is WELL-PLEASED; I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT UPON HIM, AND HE SHALL PROCLAIM JUSTICE TO THE GENTILES.
(Matthew 12:18 NASB)

"AND IN HIS NAME THE GENTILES WILL HOPE."
(Matthew 12:21 NASB)

Now the apostles and the brethren who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.
(Acts 11:1 NASB)
When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified God, saying, "Well then, God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance that leads to life."
(Acts 11:18 NASB)

God's chosen people are the Jews, but they rejected their Messiah; Jesus Christ, who came to save them by faith.
After their rejection of Messiah, God poured out His free gift of grace onto the gentiles(non-Jews).

Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.
(Acts 13:46 NASB)

I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?
(Romans 11:1-2 NASB)

What then? What Israel is seeking, it has not obtained, but those who were chosen obtained it, and the rest were hardened; just as it is written, "GOD GAVE THEM A SPIRIT OF STUPOR, EYES TO SEE NOT AND EARS TO HEAR NOT, DOWN TO THIS VERY DAY." And David says, "LET THEIR TABLE BECOME A SNARE AND A TRAP, AND A STUMBLING BLOCK AND A RETRIBUTION TO THEM. "LET THEIR EYES BE DARKENED TO SEE NOT, AND BEND THEIR BACKS FOREVER." I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous.
(Romans 11:7-11 NASB)

God's has not rejected the Jews in favor of Christians, He still has a plan for His people. What God has done by giving salvation to the gentiles has made or at least it should make His people (the Jews) jealous so that they will want to repent and return to Him.
According to the Bible the only way to get to heaven wether Jew or gentile is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
