Could be a lot of reasons. First, are you secure with yourself as an individual, outside of a relationship? If the answer's no, that's probably the biggest reason. Other reasons could be that your partner really doesn't give you enough attention, childhood experiences, past relationship experience, etc.

because you are insecure with yourself. First be the person you want to be then you can give yourself to a significant other and really make it work. I'd say go get an education, a social life, a hobby, do something you are proud of...then when you get with someone, you will have more to offer them and more to keep you happy with yourself.

You need to first love your yourself as a person and be secure in the person that you are. Only after you truely are comfortable with yourself will you be able to be secure and comfortable in relationships.

I can think of a few:
1. low self-esteem
2. burned in a previous relationship
3. your significant other has burned you (and was caught)
4. your significant other has lied to you (and was caught)
