I see this often, especially if a dog was raised up with cats in the home. It is a matter of socializing the dog with other animals such as cats. My cat Baby loves to rub against my dog, and he lets him sleep next to him. They both were very small and was brought up together. Aggressive behavior in dog from other animals, is either from not socializing them at an early age or even lack of discipline. And no, nothing dealing with aggressive dog breeds that is a myth, I have a Pit Bull who loves small animals and children. She was properly trained.

Depends on the dog. Depends on the cat. Depends on if they are raised together. Depends on how the owner acts when the dog and cat are together. The most important thing to remember about dogs is that they feed off of the owner's emotions and body language. If you are acting all tense and nervous, the dog will be on edge as well, and will probably not get along with the cat. If you're very relaxed, though, the dog will probably ignore the cat or get on well with her.

Not actual, my two cats used to are living with my roommates two puppies. One puppy overlooked the cats. The different puppy performed with them and the cats performed again. One of my cats could curl up correct subsequent to the puppy once they took a snooze.

If dogs don't grow up with family, their instincts are different towards other animals.
Most dogs are different and such.
