Spend the evening or weekend away at alittle bed and breakfast. Make sure you have candlelight and a hot tub, and just some quiet time with just the two of you, to remind you guys of the reason you love each other in the first place. Most people forget about this when the kids come.

There are 3 things to get a man.
1 may sound dumb but beer and a grate meel for me all ways makes my b day a happy one.
2 Dose he have a hobby? If so you can get him some thing in that hobby like fishing get a real or a rod.
3 you can all ways get him things he needs for work like tools if he works in that line if not a good shirt and tie.
I hope this helps you some.

Editorial Reviews

Lumberjacks, pirates, and Chuck Norris all agree that there is but one arbiter of manliness, and he has but one name: Maddox. The longtime proprietor of the absurdly popular website, The Best Page in the Universe, Maddox has thoughtfully collected his vast masculine wisdom for the first time in a useful reference work, The Alphabet of Manliness. Since men of course communicate with others only under duress, this book may be the sole resource for those starved for answers about basic manly subjects such as urinal etiquette, road rage, and beef jerky.
We thought that Neil Strauss, who chronicled his own transformation from "half a man" to a "Master Pickup Artist" in the one-of-a-kind bestseller, The Game, might be the perfect expert to assess Maddox's guide, and indeed, he came through with the sharpest take we've yet seen on the book, which you can read below.

Get a nice sexy under wear set (thong prefered) get a hotel room for the night buy some toys and go to town. A man can never resist that and will enjoy every moment, and probably wouldn't expect it.

Instead of getting him a gift go with him and do something he loves, even if you don't like it. Spending time together is better than most gifts. Like if he likes to golf or play tennis, or like to go to a theme park, invest time in his interest and he'll thank you!

It really depends on what your hubby likes, mine is really into his job, and cars. So I like to get things for him about that. I took him to a car wash, had them detail his car, and then we went shopping for stuff he can wear to work. Sometimes I get him things like tickets to the races. My sister bought her hubby a fishing pole and tackle, then took him camping without the kids.
