the fact that it's an apartment and not a house would be a good start. I hate apartment life.

My 1947 house has, for the most part, the original kitchen. I would like most of all the instantly remodel it. Also, the only living room window is a single window. I would like to have a double picture window with a 1/2 window on each side. Both the kitchen and living room are rather dark.

Honestly, I also wish it was not in a subdivision and now we are looking for a new house with space between the nearest neighbors. We also want space to keep a boat which is a real no no in our subdivision even with it being on the driveway not hurting anyone!!! Plastic villages yuk. No matter what you do inside or outside the subdivision is still the same.

If I could instantly change something about my house it would have to be enlarging my covered front porch. I sit out there a lot and would love to enlarge it by four feet so we could have a real patio set on it, not the plastic table and chairs we have now.

One of the floors is raised with a crawl space underneath. Want it leveled with the rest of the house. The roof, part is flat, bad idea, I have replaced it once but it is always just a matter of time.
I would also like a place to get to a patio from my kitchen.
And a huge garage and workshop added and it would be perfect.

The spare bedroom. My husband has his extra tools in it. Nice big room too but right now it's walls are lined with stainless steel shelving on three sides. They hold about 500 manuals and every craftsman tool you can think of. He has a rolling tool chest as tall as me on the fourth wall. The center of the floor sports a humungeous punching bag and workout bench. The aroma is of diesel. Lovely. He thinks they are safer in here than locked in a shed or garage.

Thankful I have a roof over my head and we have enough space for our whole family. But I can't stand the stark white tile in the entry and kitchen, it shows so much dirt. Hate the bland counter tops! The kitchen cabinets need to be refinished, they constantly look dirty~yes I've scrubbed them several times! Hate the Green bathtub and toilet in the kids' bathroom! MOST OF ALL, WISH IT WAS CLOSER TO FAMILY!!!

Definitely get rid of ALL the carpeting and have wood floors. I'd even settle for Pergo or cheap linoleum for right now. Carpets just seam dirty to me somehow. I'd rather have big throw rugs I can put in the washer. I'm not too hip on tiles, either...but that would be better than carpet!

I would like a bigger kitchen. All the other rooms in the house are good sized. The kitchen however is barely big enough to turn around in. To fully open the drawers in the kithen you have to open the oven door!
