This is just another question I have asked and the answers have simply proven my point. How did the conversation turn into a Christian bash? All of a sudden Christians are trying to convert and that wasn't the question. I'm just simply trying to get all of the information out their.

Most religions try and push their beliefs on people they just have their own ways. some blow stuff up, some preach to you on the streets, and others when ever you mention a word that begins with an "R" they freak out and start yelling a whole bunch of anti-religion crap at you no matter how much you tell them you don't care. and to Taranto. Us Christians don't want you to be like us we just want you to do what is morale right so that your soul can be saved. I could yell at all of you non-christians but instead i'll do something far worse and say God Bless You ALL.

We both do it, I'm an atheist and i know i'm guilty of it, but i know a lot of christians who do it too. Nobody likes their beliefs to be trampled on, so we defend them anyway we can and we get pushy and judgmental, we may not have the same beliefs but we are all human and this is how we react.

I'm an atheist BECAUSE too many Christians tried to force their religion on me. It made me want to learn for myself, rather than blindly accepting a faith.

I've known fewer atheists who've pushed non-religion on Christians than I've known of Christians who've tried to force their religion down others' throats.

To answer your question:

I think it is human nature to want to jusitfy one's own beliefs (no matter what they are) by seeking the same in others. If you believe you are right about something, it is easier to continue to believe that if other people feel the same way.

It is an aspect of human behavior that is difficult to avoid.

it is quite simple really, atheist do not try to force their beliefs on Christians. they just don't want Christians to force their beliefs on them. Atheists just want to be left alone. They support your right to your beliefs. They want you to practice your religion. Just do not force them to at the same time.

So what are you saying? Atheists act like Christians?

Isn't that what you want?

Why are protestants so obsessed with converting everyone to their faith? Everyone should believe in what they want without others trying to trick them into anything.

Atheists try to correct your misinformation. Especially those of you who try to push nonscientific information into science classes.
