MY CROCK POT!!
YANKEE POT ROAST
Pot roast using the slow cooker is the only way to go!
5 lb chuck roast
2 pkg lipton onion soup mix, dry
2 cans cream mushroom soup, campbells
1 whole celery bunch, diced
2 onions, diced
4 whole carrots, peeled and cut
5 potatoes, peeled and cut in 1/2
1 crushed garlic cloves
5 tbsp flour
1 Reynold's slow cooker liner, optional
The slow cooker liner makes cleaning up a snap!
In the crock pot, add cream mushroom soups, 2 cans of water, the lipton dry soups, flour and mix the ingredients well.
Add the roast and the garlic. Mix around til covered with soup mix. Add the onions and veggies. Add water to barely cover the veggies (remember the water level may go up during cooking!).
If potatoes won't fit, then cook them separately (ie: roast, mashed, etc.) Cover and turn crock pot to medium.
Cook 6-8 hours and it will be so tender!

crock pot--LOVE IT!!!!--don't know what I did before we got it.
on lazy days I just take out frozen skinless chicken thighs and throw them into the pot with some barbeque sauce and a little water and by dinner time (about 4 hrs on high) its done, or throw in a roast with a small can of seasoned diced tomatoes (like Italian flavor, garlic and onion, Mexican style, etc.) and in a few hours you will have the best roast ever!!

I couldn't live without my pepper grinder. I might write a song about my pepper grinder. Maybe I'll develop one of those utility belts like the super hero's wear. But mine is going to hold my pepper grinder, a small heat resistant spatula, a round whisk for blending my way out of trouble and a butcher knife the size of a spear. For slicing and dicing of course...
The pepper grinder would be the one thats indispensable though.
It's no wonder that I've been having those dreams about morphing into a super hero lately...

Definitely the French press--there's no better way to make coffee! But then I also need a microwave b/c the coffee doesn't stay warm long enough.

If it has to be one then for sure the can opener is a must for everyone. Next would come the various knives and then the casserole dishes.

Are those my choices? If so, I love my crock pot. If not, I cannot live without my coffee maker.
