credit is always given to "God", but when something catastrophic happens, excuses are made for "Him"??

For "Seek"; I totally disagree. When a tornado misses a neighborhood, when a car accident "almost" happens, when an infant has recovered from A.S., the first thing out of most mouths is "Thank God!", followed by "Thank you Jesus, thank you!".
Do you really disagree??

Giving credit to a person whom you can see has a risk, he might 'use' the credit some way, which you may not like. With God , no such problem, at least nobody complained that he used such a credit against him.
Also, when something catastrophic happens, He is a non-protesting easy scape-goat!
Unless we learn to take responsibility for all our actions, understand that we do have an 'ability' to 'respond' to a situation , this type of 'passing the buck' will continue.

For most people it's the opposite. When something good happens they credit either themselves or luck. But when something bad happens or suffering, they ask, "Where is God?" or "Why would a good God allow suffering?"

But they forget about what Jesus went through to save us from dying a spiritual death.

Since we can't do anything, including breathe, without God, I think it behooves us to give Him thanks and praise to the fullest extent possible. Remember that statistically 10 out of 10 people will die.

No one makes excuses for or about him because God doesn't cause bad things to happen and not even some things by Satan. It's called Sin because sin in the world and people's lives are constantly are in chaos.

The saddest day in an atheist's life is when he has something to be thankful for but nobody to thank.

Man usually causes most of the catastrophic things. Quit putting your faith in humans.

Actually, God cannot do bad (God is only good) but He allows bad things. He allows Satan to attack you so that you may learn to trust Him (God). When my aunt died, I was in so much pain that I could only look to God to give me strength. He allowed extreme pain so I could learn faith. Think of a good father with a 10 month old son. The boy is trying to learn to walk. But if the father is never lets go of the boy's hands, the son will not learn to walk correctly. A good father would allow the son to fall and learn.

I fail to see what's wrong with the scenario you're describing.

Although, really God doesn't need any excuses.
If he wanted wipe us off the face of the planet ~ that's his choice. He owns us.

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;" 1 Cor. 6:19

(hey, did you catch that last part: "You are not your own") God owns us, which gives him complete ownership rights/controls.

What he says - goes.

Why do you pick only on God,,,,PEOPLE if you do believe in GOD or you don't believe in GOD lets admit one thing, we that do believe know there is a spiritual battle, that is between good and bad, the bad side of things goes to the corner of SATAN, the good side GOD< stop blaming GOD, SATAN EXISTS TO AND IF YOU DON'T CHOICE GOD YOU CHOICE SATAN, THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND, YOUR ON ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER.
Freewill people, free will exist,, God allows Satan to roam around destroying all and everyone and taking as many souls as he can to hell with him,, Cause we have free will. And GOD LOVES EVERYONE, even the lost the sinners, we all our sinner, he loves us all.. BLAME SATAN for the crap in this world,,, his greatest deception is making people believe he doesn't exist...get a clue people..

Interesting observation. I think it may be because the word God is associated with good things and when things go badly him doesn't sound so bad.

Where were you when He formed this world? Set the weather patterns? Where were your grandparents, or their parents? Are you the one to question Him? Our lives are a puff of smoke in creations timeline. Maybe we should listen, instead of trying to blame.

The world operates with good and evil and doubt and faith. I do not doubt that our faith is always challenged which is why we have the presence of the "wonderful" and "catastrophic."
