The food police will tell you 12mo, but it's really up to three years but the flavor will change after 2. As long as it is kept in a cool cupboard. You must ensure not to let it freeze or get above 80's for long periods. And never open it if it's bulged. You'll be fine.

if the can is not damaged so that it remains sealed, it really will be fine for several years. there is a 'best if used by date' on the can, but it doesn't mean the food instantly spoils on that date...it just means what it says.
