What are common lies "some" christians tell for proving their religion scientifically?

Some of them insist that the, "great flood," caused the Grand Canyon. Of course, we know that there could never have been a great flood, for the earth would present completely consistent evidence of it, had it covered the whole earth with the magnitude suggested in the bible. And, clearly, this is not the case. The earth's crust is completely diverse in consistency.

Some of them also insist upon, "irreducible complexity."
There has never been a single example of anything irreducibly complex. All attempts at it have been thoroughly refuted.

Some said that:

Darwin recanted on his deathbed.
This is completely fabricated and has no foundation in truth whatsoever. A woman named “Lady Hope” spoke to a church group shortly after the death of Charles Darwin. She claimed that she was at Darwin’s bedside on the day of his death. She also claimed that Darwin recanted on evolution and accepted Jesus on his deathbed. Her claims are not only unsupported, but are directly opposed by Darwin’s daughter, Henrietta. Henrietta stated “I was present at his deathbed, Lady Hope was not present during his last illness, or any illness. I believe he never even saw her, but in any case she had no influence over him in any department of thought or belief. My father never recanted any of his scientific views, either then or earlier. I am upset that the U.S. Christians have fabricated this conversion nonsense. The whole story has no foundation whatever.” February 23, 1922.

Evolution has been proven false (is only a theory).
Evolution can be divided into two parts, macro and micro. Micro evolution is a fact, where as macro evolution remains a theory due to debates on the exact steps of the evolutionary process. EVOLUTION DID HAPPEN we simply can’t trace the exact evolutionary steps of the of the 3 trillion plus species on earth. Considering there is no way that we can even prove if we have located all the species on earth, this may always remain a theory. We can prove though, beyond a doubt, that humans have evolved. We can trace it back conclusively 3.6 million years. 97% of all scientists accept evolution (so does the Catholic Church). Christians have spread lies about this excessively, they especially like to say evolution preaches that Humans evolved from monkeys. Evolution does not state that humans evolved from monkeys, that idea is completely absurd. Science states that monkeys and humans evolved from a shared forefather and are hence relatives, (all primates are) but we are in no way direct descendants of them.

Take it from me...I know a lot about both sides.

Science answers how. Religion answers why. If you find some measure of belief in both, you will have no need to question.

That Darwinian theories can't be proven. And when I was homeschooled with Christian curriculim it mentioned in the science book that if there were no flood the world would have exploded or imploded or something like that. I never believed any of it though, I wanted actual science. Besides, my mom stopped homeschooling me after I became a smartass and wrote Jesus as the answer to every question in my biblestudy packets.

I don't understand some of you people. If we Christians want to believe in what we believe how does it hurt you? I mean if we choose to live a Christian life that's a pretty moral life and if we are wrong what difference does it make to you. However, if we are right where does that leave you? I'm sure "some" Christians know all the scientific reasons for our beliefs, I'm afraid I will have to disappoint you with just having faith. Faith is believing in something you can't see. Jesus says "blessed are those who believe and do not see."
Some of us don't have to "see" scientific research to believe in Jesus.
Even back in Jesus' time some of the people wanted Him to keep proving Himself over and over, and He did, over and over, and they still didn't believe. Some people won't believe no matter what. Even when Jesus was walking among them and performing miracles, people didn't believe. I'm thankful that some did and passed it on...........

Genesis 1:3-5 There was evening and morning one day. This statement indicates that the first thing created was the day and night. However, we know that day and night would come after the existence of the sun and through its rise and set. However, verse 14 from the same chapter indicates that the sun was created on the fourth day, God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. Genesis 1:11 states that vegetations, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees were created on the third day: But we know that vegetations and plants could not grow without sun, while Genesis 1:16 tells us that the sun was created on the fourth day. Moreover, Genesis Chapter 2 contradicts the first chapter. The first chapter has stated that vegetations and plants and the trees were created on the third day, before the creation of man, who was created on the sixth day; however, Genesis Chapter 2:5-9 tells us that man was created before vegetation and plants

Moreover, Genesis 1:14-19 describes the creation of the sun, moon and stars on the fourth day, after the creation of the earth on the third day. Our modern knowledge of the formation of the solar system does not allow us to state that the sun, moon, and stars came into being after the creation of the earth. Scientists tell us that stars eventually exploded and recondensed over numerous cycles, forming the heavy elements that LATER condensed into the earth.

Then the prophet Isaiah called upon the Lord, and the Lord made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz. (From the NIV Bible, 2 Kings 20:11 ) An equally ridiculous notion in the Bible is that the sun went backwards 10 degrees on the sundial one day - again implying that the sun moved, stopped, reversed, stopped, then proceeded forward again.

Not only does the Bible support a moving sun - it was simply common sense. Only a fool would look up at the sky and say that the sun did not move! These phenomena are simply due to Earth?s rotation and NOT by Sun?s rotation. Sun is stationary for Earth, because earth is stuck in the sun?s Gravity, like we are stuck in earth?s gravity. Does the bible ever mention that the earth or any other planet rotates, like the Quran does? The answer regrettably for Christians and Jews is no.
