Best cheap restaurant: Tie between
Stepho's Souvlaki Greek Taverna 1124 Davie St. - Great Greek food, good portions, fabulous prices. Entree's under $10, daily drink and entree specials. Usually a lineup after 5PM. No reservations for parties under 5 people. Use the time in line up to chat with your date.

X-Site Grill and Bistro. 4625 Hastings St, Burnaby - If you are looking for a great cheap place in the burbs, this is it. Good selection of food to suit pretty much everyone's palate (soups, meal size salads, pastas, burgers, sandwiches, steaks, salmon, chicken). Good portion size. All entrees come with a great house salad (one of the best I have ever had). Not the hugest menu and no fries (they have one deep fryer which is used for chicken wings, calamari and chicken fingers) but who needs the extra trans fats anyways. $11 pitchers of Sleemans Honey Brown, Okanagan Springs & another beer I can't remember, daily drink specials and all entrees are under $10. Lunch special menu Mon-Saturday is $4.95 and they have Mon-Thurs dinner specials for $4.95 (full dinner. Monday-Steak, Tuesday-Burgers, Wednesday-Souvlaki & Thursday-Spring Salmon filet) Highly recommend this place.

Best view - Also two choices. Horizon's Restaurant on Burnaby Mountain and The Salmon House on the Hill 2229 Folkestone Way right off Highway #1 in West Vancouver. Both have stunning views of downtown Vancouver and are great places to watch the sun set

Best Restaurant - Oh so many choices. I will list my choices by type.

Steak - Hy's Encore (Vancouver). 637 Hornby Street - Old boy's style steak house. Nice dark wood furniture, you can almost smell all the congac that has been consumed over pricey dinners and business deals.

Asian - Kobe Japanese Steakhouse 1042 Alberni Street - Teppenyaki style steakhouse. Great show, dinners are all inclusive of soup, rice, veggies, and whatever your main course choice is.

Place to be seen - Cardero's Restaurant & Live Bait Yacht Club Marine Pub 1583 Coal Harbour - gotta love a place that supplies blankets for you on the patio.

Italian - Cioppinos 1133 Hamilton St Vancouver - The best Italian food around, made by one of the best chef's in town.

Best Burgers
Burger Haven in New Westminster. Not only are their burgers great, but their burger poll has suceeded in predicting elected officials in their area for years.

Hope this helps!

The Olympic Broil, Lansing, Mi . It's a hole in the wall, that all the locals know about and go to. Everytime anyone that has left the area, comes back- they all head to the O.B.. They have great greasy food, that goes back to your childhood- when nobody cared if things were healthy, we just liked good food. It's super cheap, 1/4 # burger meal with fries and drink is about $3.

for seafood 6 ft less than is the perfect. they have one properly overlooking historic oakland cemetary (consequently the call) and only opened one in northwest off howell mill street. i love it there. it really is not any longer fancy yet no longer low priced both. only good seafood, the perfect crunchy cornmeal batter I easily have ever had, good beer determination, relations environment, a real good mix. for breakfast, the flying biscuit or the highland bakery or thumbs up diner besides the undeniable fact that all regularly have lengthy waits on weekends. cafe 458 on edgewood ave. is staffed through volunteers weekends (and infrequently any wait) and all proceeds bypass to assist the homeless --- AND breakfasts are extremely good there (and also you would really help the community). in case you want fancy, then watershed in decatur, fritti or sotto sotto on highland ave., or one midtown kitchen are all tremendous. i'd keep away from buckhead and keep on with decatur, midtown, virginia-highlands. Buckhead is hyped up. very last time i went there I had to go away after some hours of no longer getting served. seems you need to be a "certain way" to get interest there.
