I read to my step sister before she goes to bed frequently, and almost every time I do, I lose my voice for a bit afterwards...talking for long periods of time consistently can make your voice just get tired. For me, it doesn't take long...try using cough spray to numb your throat if it starts to hurt and drink hot drinks such as tea and honey. If it gets worse and you're REALLY straining it, take time off for it to heal. You don't want to push it to the point where you're out of work for weeks, when you could just go out for a few days! Good luck!

I'd try drinking some tea with honey in it and only speaking when you absolutely need to for a while. There's a drink my voice teacher gave me for when my voice would get strained and go out and if I can find the recipe I'll be sure to give it to you.

Hard to say since I don't know more about the symptoms how long they've been going on etc.
It might just be a cold or allergies.

Might be polyps on your Larynx due to acid reflux (which you might not actually feel).

The best way to fix a voice is to not use it and to make sure that you keep your voice as low as possible. Also do not strain your voice.

Gargle with warm salt water.

I lose my voice from screaming on the great of my lungs at a ball interest it really is incredibly exciting,or at a guy that would properly be a chilly-hearted jerk!Or that is from getting a severe sore throat an infection!

It sounds gross (and it is), but gargle with hydrogen peroxide. It will bring your voice back for an hour or so. There is also a product called Entertainers secret. It works wonders. You might have to ask you druggist to order it for you.

Umm.. I don't know what causes this... I have experienced this before. I think this is because you're too tired. Try drinking squashed lime everyday. This can cure you :)
