this depends. If you are talking quantities then the answer is 2. However if you are talking power, then you are enter an area where synergy is involved and the value can vary to some degree. For example, two horses can pull a wagon that is three or four times as heavy as what either horse is cable of pulling working alone. I am sure there is an equation somewhere to calculate this, but I am not a physicist or an engineer, so I do not know it.
