I have always had problems losing weight. I have been dieting and exercising for 2 months and have only lost 10 lbs. What am I doin wrong? some ppl say i'm not that big (180lbs.-5'2) but i know it is. i want to lose weight, but i have a lot of negativity around me. i also go to school fulltime and a mother of 3 so i don't have a whole lot of spare time. i recently broke up w/ a guy bcuz i found out he was cheating on me...i want to make him squirm the next time he sees me. ( i would like to at least start off by losing 25lbs.) I would like to have it lost by the end of the summer. any suggestions? i don't have much income either...so costly saving advice would be greatly apprieciated.

Sometimes keeping a food diary can help. Sometimes we don't remember how much we have snacked on during the day. The food diary can help you see if you are snacking excessively or help you see a bad habit.

If snacking is your problem you can look into a couple of options. You can cut down on your snacking or plan for healthier snacks. Don't drastically change your diet unless you know that you can stick with it. Otherwise you just gain all of the weight back because you go back to old habits. Just change a little at a time. Try having two "healthy meals" a week. Something as simple as having grilled food, instead of something fried.

Also, to lose weight you really need to do some type of exercise. Find something that you enjoy doing. You will be more likely to stick with it. Maybe walking, swimming, yoga, dance, aerobics. Just whatever you find interesting. If you bore easily you may want to try doing more than one thing. For instance, walking with friends on Monday and Wednesday, yoga on Tuesday and Thursday. The next week try dance on Mon. and wed. and aerobics or Tues. and Thurs.. You just have to find what works for you. The most important thing is to keep it fun and interesting. Take time and try some new things!

I would say that 25 pounds in 3 months is more realistic since it is healthy to lose 1-2lbs a week. I lost 30 lbs in 15 weeks through healthy eating. I would have 3 healthy meals a day and had snacks in between meals such as apples, bananas, carrots, broccoli etc. I only had water and milk for my liquids and avoided all soda and juices. No junk food either. Also, you should try to do some cardio and weight training as well. Try using interval training 3 times a week for 30 minutes and about 2 sessions of weight training. I don't mind being your diet partner but don't give up on your goals because what you are doing is good for you. And plus you will get tons of compliments when you met your goal and will feel so much better. Good luck

First of all, congratulate yourself on losing 5 lbs per month! That's amazing. You really shouldn't push for rapid weight loss since that can really do a number on your entire system, cause gall bladder issues, hurt your immune system etc.... If you continue what you're doing and continue to lose 5 lbs per month for 6 months then you'll be down to a lean 150! Don't focus too much on the numbers or you'll be disappointed. Keep in good health and take your vitamins. Drinking LOTS of water in itself can speed weight loss since it helps your body get rid of what you don't need.

The only way that Ive been able to lose weight ,(BESIDES TORCHING MYSELF) is Phentremine. It costs $35.00 for the pills and 40.00 for the docs app.$75.00 a month. Yea, that's not cheap but, I've lost 40 lbs so far, 3 months. The hard part is keeping it off when I'm done with the pills. Takes alot of self discipline. and a life style change.But it works!!

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
The correct way to burn fat and stay healthy is to burn more calories than you consume
You need to make sure you are eating healthy foods while still excercising
If you have a big appetite drink plenty of water so that you will feel full but not consume calories
But you should always eat
If you start to skip meals you will only be more hungry at your next meal and probably eat way too much
Remember, the average persons stomach is as big as a slice of pizza scrunched up into a ball
So you shouldnt be putting more food into your stomach than what fits
Also, it takes aproximately 15-20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full
so eat slower and you will realize sooner when you are not hungry anymore
