You are the first Muslim I heard say that much about Jesus. Every Muslim I ran into on Yahoo Question / Answers snap back like Jesus was a second fiddle and Muhammad is more important than Jesus.
Non the less - there is something you lack. I don't say this to be hateful or mean, but in the spirit of love.
When you realize that Jesus was born of God, the first born of many sons (Through the receiving of the Holy Spirit) then you will come closer to understanding Jesus as the true Holy One of God.
I do not believe for one second that Jesus is his own father, nor do I call Mary the mother of God - it just does not work that way. Jesus was a prophet, this is true. Jesus was also born again when he was baptized by John, thus becoming the Son of God. And those who accept Christ as the Son of God who come to redeem us from our sins, become sons and daughters of the living God. Not that we become God but are once again Children of Promise - a Promise that was lost through the sin of Adam.
When one denies that Jesus was and is the Son of God, they deny who he is and his importance to the salvation of mankind. Again, I am not saying this in anger toward you.., but trying to open your understanding. Of course, I cant do that, only God can - and I think many of us lose sight of that fact.
I can not accept Muhammad as the last prophet or even a prophet and wish I could explain it to you without your getting upset or thinking I am being hateful with you. At any rate - Jesus never told about a prophet coming after him, and said quite plainly that no one can come to the Father but by him.
All authority was given him in heaven and in Earth until such time as all God's enemies have been placed under his feet - THEN - Jesus shall hand all power and authority (which does not exceed God's authority by any means) back to the Father so that God may be in all and over all and Jesus will be like his brothers.
May God teach you truth and truth set you free..,
in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

I am not a christian.
I am an athiest. I am a good person, and i try not to judge,
but some of the christians I know are the most hypocritical people I have ever met. Certianly not all of them.
try not to listen what a few people say- It doesn't necessarily reflect what the majority feels.
I know that athiests have the stigma of being morally corrupt, but that is just not true either. I deny Jesus. I believe he was a mere mortal like the rest of us. that doesn't make me a bad person. I am one of the nicest, considerate people you would ever meet.
But from what I know of Islam, you believe Jesus was a prophet, and that Muhammed was the prophet to follow Jesus.
also remember that there are regional differences in christianity. some areas of the US are bound to be more open minded than others.
I guess my point is: don't worry about what they think. continue being yourself.

Your words mean nothing if your actions contradict them. Muslims speak soft until they are the dominant religion; then they persecute people of other religions. I'm not saying that they talk mean. I'm saying that they MURDER them. You cannot say that you respect Jesus and Moses while at the same time you try to silence their teachings. Furthermore since their words are the words of God you are trying to silence God. When the followers of Mohammed do this they prove that Mohammed was not God's messenger. They are so afraid of the truth being told that they will kill muslims who convert to christianity. Why would they care if a person converts? The reason cannot be because they are concerned for the souls of others, because they constantly try to send "infidels" to hell.

Well I do think muslim deny Jesus..but not Isa..most muslim people called Isa as Isa son of Mariam not Jesus. So that is why some people missunderstood this statement.
For me..respecting ISA(jesus) etc is the key to make a world a better place to live..cause when we respect other people point of view, religions, their norms and values we kinda enlighten ourselves with the thing that they can do or cant do..and they do so and so..it doesnt mean when we learn about one religion we are interested in it or want to convert but we help ourselves from being such an ignorance human being..
wassalam

Because the Bible says that the Muslim teaching regarding Jesus come from the spirit of the anti-Christ who seeks to supplant Jesus.
1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.
Claiming that Jesus was only a prophet is saying that this passage from the Bible is a lie.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
But in reality the liar, as always, is Satan.
John 8:42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but he sent me. 43 Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me.

So you agree that Jesus was the only begotten son of God, sent to atone for the sins of the world, the savior and messiah? Well then we are brothers in Christ then. Praise the Lord!

Respecting Jesus potential taking his coaching heavily. He got here to earth to truly sacrifice Himself for our sins at great concern and price. it rather is obvious from the hot testomony that salvation won't be in a position to be effected in any incorrect way. Respecting Him is taking this heavily, and then following His fuller training. Respecting Him is likewise permitting others to have faith in Him, and not threaten them with death and so on for believing,as regrettably Mohammed taught latterly in his existence, and propagated on into mohammedan practice by way of historic previous. Respecting Him is believing what He says approximately Himself, no longer what somebody six hundred years later who purely needed Jesus to be a prophet taught.

Because some Christians don't have knowledge of what Muslims do believe. Muslims don't believe in Jesus as their Redeemer, as Christians do, but they believe that He existed as a Prophet.
