Not at all, it is another example of knowing Christians by their works.

The only problem between the bible and swearing is when a person takes the name of God in vain. Everything else is just a cultural thing. You should try to get over your prudent attitude. You may be missing a chance to learn something meaningful just because you don't like the words that a person uses to express their feelings and ideas.
It does not make them a bad person, and it doesn't mean that they are not Christian or that they are going to hell. Sometimes it is just showing that the person doesn't have the vocabulary to express themselves in a more "proper" manner. There is nothing in the bible about using expletives, other than the one that I mentioned.

No. One misconception that many people have is that when you profess Christianity that you become a totally different person. When you become a Christian only two things happen. You admit to everyone including yourself that you are a believer and follower of Christ. And, that you are forgiven for your sins. Being a Christian doesn't make you perfect, just forgiven! I missed the part in the Bible where it said you can't say bad words. Don't judge other peoples outside by your insides!

It does make me feel that they are demeaning the work of a Christian, when they are using cuss words, where others, who are ready to pounce on them for "not acting like a 'good Christian", and thus, making thier walks harder if they want to become one.
You should "never" hinder a Brethren in thier walk with GOD. But, by swearing like a sailor, you reduce what a Christian is, in the eyes of one that may be on the "verge" of enlightenment, and discourage him/her from wanting to even participate in becoming a Christian.
I wont bring them to "task", because if they see me, they generally refrain from swearing, because they "know" that I am a Christian, and am willing to walk the walk, and talk the talk, and will not compromise my values or integrity, or do anything against my LORD intentially...
I am not perfect, as I will sin, until the day I die, but, I try not to do it, and if I do it unconciously, I still pray for forgiveness each day, in case I did sin in the eyes of my LORD.
I wish you well...
Jesse

Yes, I just heard that 78% of Americans call themselves Christians. I guess they believe if they believe in God they are a christian. That's probably why so many curse.

Do not judge unless you be judged. We are all sinners but threw the blood of Jesus are we saved. We are all going to be judged one day for the way we act not by the way we are in church. God knows every heart. If you are evil than you will never go to heaven. Don't let others make you hate God. You will know them by the way they act and live. Leave them to let God judge them. I don't hate it - I don't understand it! If you are truly saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit - those words should at some point disappear from your conversation. It's all about growing in the Lord.

Well the way I see it we have all been known to be a little hypocritical at times. However there are varying degrees. But my mom said not to sweat the small things in life. And I don't concern myself with things that aren't my business, so as long as they don't bother me, were cool...

Yes! I'm a Christian and I think that if you call yourself a Christian, then you should walk the walk, not just talk the talk. It gives the people who follow Christ a bad name.

I actually do dislike when people say they go to church or i know that they go to church and then they curse every other day of the week. But it isnt really our place to say who is in the wrong. God knows that they do it and he knows what he is going to do about it.
