Kegels are pelvic muscle exercises. The pelvic floor is made up of muscles responsible for supporting the woman's lower organs, including the bladder. It is important for a woman to exercise and tone these muscles regularly all of her life. Effective pelvic floor toning will prevent prolapse bladder, incontinence and other health problems. It will also add to a woman's sexual pleasure.
Kegel exercises are especially important for a pregnant woman. Good pelvic floor muscle tone aides the baby in it's rotation and descent into the birth canal. And, if a woman is able to relax her pelvic floor muscles while she pushes her baby out, this will greatly assist the birth process.

Kegel exercises strengthen some of the muscles that control the flow of urine. Both men and women can benefit from doing them. Doctors often prescribe Kegel exercises for people who have bladder control problems. You can read more about it including the benefits for both men and women here

Kiegel exercises are when you tighten your vaginal area and release, the best way of doing this is by acting as if you have to pee and holding it, then letting it go.
