They claim to be the Only true church on earth. They don't worship Joe Smith but they do claim how wonderful he is. And they beat their beliefs into your head till you know it for yourself. Only till you open your eyes and find out that you have been following like a mindless zombie. Think for yourself. The J.s. story is so far fetched. The Book of Mormon is a made up story. They use the BOM to learn from and use the Bible to back up the statements. They believe the BOM is the most correct book on the face of the earth,

The people of the church are great and wonderful people. Most would give you the shirts off their backs if you needed. And they would offer it to you with you asking. They are probably the most giving group of people on the earth. They believe family is of the up most importance, can't blame they for that, They work hard and work harder to help those in the LDS family. No one goes without what they need. Once you are in it is the hardest thing to get out.

It isn't a bad way of life, and it is a way of life, however once you learn the church isn't what it claims to be, anyone with a sense of dignity cannot stay. I couldn't lie and say that I knew the church was true, so and so is a prophet seer and revalator...

The hardest thing to do after leaving is deprogramming, trying to figure out facts from fantasy.

Yes I know that Joseph Smith was the founder of this belief and his talks about accounts Of Jesus appearing to the AMERICAN INDIANS, Which sounds good,,, But then they have there own bible the book of Mormons, they to believe they are the true faith.
But they believe when they die they will become a GOD.
In the temple they are there praying for the souls of lost or dead relatives...

I know that they believe that Joseph Smith found gold tablets and translated them with the help of an angel.
Said tablets supposedly told the story of Jesus witnessing to the American Indians.
I think they say those tablets have been lost now.
Oh and they think the Indians, instead of crossing the Bering Strait, instead came from the Middle East in a boat.

well im no expert but i am a mormon and would say that i know enough to form my own opinion and ill let you know that the things alot of people say about us is just plain silly and N O T T R U E and more so is just plain silly. people have always twisted and misconstrued our beliefs to seem freekish and cult like. alot of people think we are one and the same with self proclaimed polygomists in fact we are not, now true we once did practice polygamy but we did so under direction of revelation and also stopped the practice also under direct revelation. i hear some people say we worship our own bible called the book of mormon. the truth is yes we do believe in a text called the book of mormon but it IS NOT our bible but actually another testement of jesus christ fortold in the bible to come to the gentiles. alot of people say we believe that we are equall to god but infact we don't we simply believe that god promised us that for our faith fulness we could be like unto god meaning exalted or perfect, infact i,ve been to churches that believe we as people were sent to earth as a punnishment for our unfaithfulness in the preexistance in fact we were sent here to see how we would fair outside of his presence and a plan was set forth for us to return unto him, that being through the crucifiction and resurection of our savior jesus christ and through our diligence to follow his commandments. hopfully this will clear up a few things that i'm sure you have heard and will hear. the best advise i can give you is the exact same thing i did before i became lds and that is pray and ask to know the truth. i don't remember the exact words or scripture but it's in the bible and goes something like this, if a man desire the truth let him ask but let him ask of a broken heart and a contrite spirit and the truth shall be known unto him, let a man knock and the door shall be opened

I WAS A MORMON YEARS AGO AND THE MAIN REASON I LEFT IS THAT JESUS AND THE APOSTLES KEEPED THE 7TH DAY SATURDAY SABBATH AND AFTER ALL IT IS THE 4TH COMMANDMENT

Mr 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
Mr 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
