I bought a dog. She's a mutt, but great with the kids. About medium size 45-50 pounds. I walk her in the morning for about 30-45 minutes, and if the weather's nice, I'll walk her at night too. Really clears the mind, and gives me the alone time that I need (I'm pregnant with my 6th & 7th children).
I also lost 45 pounds last summer, just from changing my eating habits & walking the dog. I read somewhere that owners of dogs have less stress levels than owners of other pets.

Sweat it out! Take about 10 minutes to stretch your muscles really well, then get to running, jump-roping, walking, beat the heck out of a punching bag, dance to your favorite music, scream into a pillow to your hearts content.
Just make sure you cool down afterward by walking at a comfortable pace for a few minutes, or stretching again, or you could be in pain soon after.
You wouldn't be going wrong by having a hot bath after that, with some chocolate!

Hope you feel better soon!
Peace

one of the best stress relievers is:

breaking a sweat during cardiovascular activity (such as running, biking, elliptical machine, treadmill)
exercise not only gets you more fit, but releases endorphins in the process--endorphins are happy hormones--also released after eating chocolates...

another great way to relieve stress is to buy a punching/kickboxing bag--those are so much fun--you can just punch the excess stress out =)

I smoke pot. I know that isnt the answer youre LOOKING for, but it works.

Sex is good. If you are an active person, try hitting the gym. That probably gets the most stress out.
