ive tried this thing about eating a lemon to stop hiccups and it worked.

I get hiccups a lot and my friend says you have to change your breathing pattern. In example you can pant or breath slowly ( such as holding your breath)

a hiccup is a spazum in the diaphram muscle. Just try not to think about it and it should go away

take a very deep breath till you fill up your lungs with air,then shut your mouth and don't breath for as long as you can. In 10-12 sec it usually stops .Same effect if you slowly sip water from a glass with your lips closed on a rim so air doesn't get sucked in with water.

have someone else plug both of your ears.....you plug your nose and drink a glass of lukewarm water. it interrupts the spasm

when you swallow to much air when you are eating or drinking something it causes your diaphragm to spasm to stop them i try holding my breath until it stops
