Well by the way you described the injuries and the spelling mistakes I can safely say that you are not going to be your best negotiator for a fair settlement.
Do not sign any settlement agreements and get yourself to an attorney for your son's sake.
There should be Medpay or PIP on your insurance and if there isn't then the medical bills will have to be eventually be paid by you through this settlement.
Again get to an attorney and let them handle future medical treatment for your son and the eventual settlement. It is too early to settle and you need legal representation.
From a senior liability claims adjuster.

Never rule out more extensive damage to the body after a car wreck. Sometimes it can take a year or more for the body to heal or things showing up. I would make 100% sure your child is okay, you are okay, no future pains or problems that may be ahead. $4,000 sure isn't much when you look at all you pay out for insurance. I would talk to an attorney!

How about asking the claims adjuster for more money. Advise them you want $10,000 or what ever you feel is reasonable. If his medical bills are around $3,500-$4,000, and if it was a bad accident and all of his injuries were directly related to the accident, then I would ask for more BEFORE you speak to an attorney. An attorney will take up to 40% of what ever you settle for. so try to get more out of the claims adjuster before you go to the attorney. Ask for $15,000. and see what they say. What could it hurt? and you might end up ahead.

I would go ahead and speak to an attorney. The injuries your son has are permanent, it will not be broke forever, but there is a good possibility that he will have problems with it for the rest of his life. Good Luck and I hope your son gets better soon.

DO,,,NOT at this time sign anything,,or accept anything,,the will try and trick,,you in to saying yes to something,,especially over the phone,,and when you do then they,ll say ok,,next thing you know your getting paper,s to sign,,and a copy of what the check will look like,,i know this because a friend of mine went through it,,they tryed everything on him,,i sent him to my attorney,,his final settlement was over 50.000,,for him plus all Doctor bill,s paid,,and all future bills, said,,that pertain to anything related to the accident,,so don't give in easy,,you,ll regret it later on especially when you start having to pay all the bill,s,,insurance is supposed to put thing,s back the way they was before the accident,,don't settle for anything less,,good luck,,and stay with it.

getting a lawyer will cost you a lot but it might be worth it just make sure to get one that you don't have to pay until you get payed. you also want more then then just the medical bills you want them to pay for the damaged to your car.
