Because we are talking about multiple bumps, not multiple geese. Grammar rules will help you out here.

OK, hmmm. Well, because goose bumps, I believe, came from when a goose was de-feathered for roasting and it was cold in the room, the areas where the feathers were had little bumps on them. So, when someone gets a chill and gets little bumps on them, it's from the one goose that had bumps - not a whole flock. I other words a goose with bumps.

Because the goosebumps term mean it resembles that of a plucked goose. You're only 1 person. The millions of bumps don't stand for millions of geese.

Because they resemble the skin of a goose after plucking. They are the bumps on the skin of a single goose, not several geese.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with how you are making a comparison to a particular object.
That object is singular in tense...hence the term used in its singular form.
Goose bumps instead of geese bumps

For the same reason that a "pair of pants" is singular. Which brings up the question, why isn't the word "bra" plural?

there is 1 person . 1 person = 1 GOOSE you get bumps like a GOOSE. hence GOOSEBUMPS

Why is it,,,Chicken Pox? we don't get it from chickens and I do not know about goose bumps. I can't get past the chicken pox thing.
