Kung fu's not a martial art. It's the generic Chinese term for martial arts in general. So no, I don't think that martial arts are overrated. Some styles are, some aren't.

Unless you had a specific one in mind?

Sometimes, but I think if you look at the shaolin monks, you see that it can be very effective. It's like anything else, it partly the person, and partly the practice. If everyone practiced like the monks, they'd be kicking some ***. If you do it 3x a week, same as other styles and worse in the street.

Absolutely not. Despite the fact the it has been done to death in movies and TV shows, it is still the fore-runner of many, many other martial arts.

extremely look at Wat Bruce lee said and did he made jet kune do because kungfu has to many faults kung fu cant be be used in a real life fight unless u very good
