Romans 1:21

Because... For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Is this question from the "every sperm is sacred" fan club? The "save the trees" epithet is a religious bigot term for anyone who wants to preserve a sustainable environment for posterity. The reason this issue is tied to abortion is because international corporate capitalists want to degrade the environment for money and have enlisted the ignorant minions of religious bigots to champion their cause. This is extremely stupid because most of these ignorant bigots have much to loose by the degradation of their environment. For example, the common bigot cannot afford to own large tracts of land in several countries to escape the effects of global worming but it is these religious nut cases who have been enlisted by the wealthy to chant the mantra of "there is no global warming" just as they enlisted the masses to support the persecution of Galileo when he said Earth was not the center of the universe.
What if global warming is real? Just as real as the round Earth and the Earth is not the center of the universe. It really does revolve around the sun.

Just as the "tree hugger" myth is bogus, abortion is not a real issue for the religious right, otherwise they would spend time on trying to find ways to reduce the number of abortions and they don't. It is a distraction to direct our attention away from serious social issues like health care, environmental degradation, and the oil war. Those issues are seriously opposed by the wealthy
Every sperm is not sacred, life does not begin at conception or perception, and the religious should have no greater right to regulate the rights of all people in a democracy than the majority has a right to ban psychotic religious beliefs.

As awful as this is going to sound, I will say it anyways.
Let's face it-we need the trees. We are killing the Earth. We need more trees to help counteract all of the carbon dioxide we are filling the atmosphere with. Part of that is due to overpopulation. Women should have the choice to abort. Do we really need more unwanted children, overpopulating the Earth, causing more damage, and living miserable lives because they weren't wanted, and probably aren't taken care of? No, we don't. As harsh as it sounds, it is the reality of the world we live in.

why do the same people that save children allow children around the world to starve, or be bombed, etc
people who save trees feel it is a woman;s right and responsibility to choose to bring a life into the world,
so why arent you christians in palestine preventing kids from being shot,or in Iraq, why are there starving children in the world when until seven years ago the planet provided enuff food the feed all it's people, the problem was not food, but transportation and money
