The Number of Airline Enplanements statistic represents the number of passengers that boarded an airplane at the Lafayette Regional Airport. The number of passengers that arrived at the Lafayette Regional Airport each month is illustrated in the Number of Airline Deplanements statistic.

Enplanement simply means to board the aircraft

In airport jargon an enplanement is one paying passenger getting on an airliner.

It's use to state statistically how many paying customers/passengers board airliners at a given airport. (They don't want to count the crew, thru-passengers, non-revenue passengers, etc.)

There actually is such a word.

"Passenger enplanement means a person boarding in the United States in scheduled or nonscheduled service on aircraft in intrastate, interstate, or foreign air transportation."

... as opposed to deplane(ment).

The number of planes/passengers landing in and out of an airport should be what your looking for, per year.
