Can you get rabies from having sex?

Only if he is rabid, and he would have to bite you during it. So don't screw guys that foam at the mouth. If you do get it, and catch it early, you can cure it. You will know real fast if you or he has rabies, don't worry.

The way I understand it, rabies is spread a lot like HIV ... in that you would have to have a rabies infected fluid enter into your body, through a bite, a cut, a thin membrane, etc. So, I think it is POSSIBLE, but not very probable. I believe it would take having sex with a rabid person (or animal) who got their rabid fluid to enter your body via a wound or thin membrane, like if they bit you, or if their infected fluid entered your body through the vaginal or anal walls, or through tissues torn during sex. I suppose if you're having sex with animals the chances are more likely (and only mammals carry rabies, so if we're talking snakes, you are OKAY!) Though, I don't think rabies is all that common anyhow.

i dont think so. no ya cant rabies travel through the blood stream and can only u get it if u are BITTEN by somethin that has rabies. Rabies isnt called STDs 4 a reason.

Not unless that person you wantto have sex with have rabies and didn't get a rabies shot then you got problems.

Rabies is carried in saliva, so assuming you'll kiss this person, yes. Why are you sleeping with someone with rabies, anyway?
