I don't think anyone would ever say "likes war." But, it's typical that ciuntries who lose equipment for various reasons take advantage of the opportunity to upgrade to the next generation of gear. I haven't heard that Australia is doing that, the US is not, but certainly it would be a normal & good side effect. No reason to "like war" though. It's jsut as easy to get rid of the stuff at home as to burn it out in the mid-east.

ALL countries use conflict to develop weapons and equipment, where better an enviroment to test. The British forces used Northern Ireland for years as a testbed for tactics and weapons. Which is a large reason why we are so good today.

Australia is the greatest friend and ally the US has. And they like our music lol. They do not have to use war to upgrade, nor to pay for it. The US is happy to provide whatever weapons are required. Ummm maybe one generation out though.

All arms manufacturers like war, and for the reason you indicated. Australia doesn't have a corner on the arms market, therefore we all respond in the same way.

Australians are too busy poaching kangaroos and drinking Fosters to worry about any wars.

No it is not.

The reason for updating weapons is so that IF you go to war, your people survive and succeed.

Stupid question.
