I need to find a boy friend to go to a dance with me! I'm the shy brainy type of girl, but I'd really like a date! How do I get guys to notice me and ask me out?

the best, and easiest way, is to ask.
preferably one of your friends.
so it'll be easier.
or if you find that hard, ask somebody you're just acquainted with.
just make sure they're both nice, and sane.

The first answerer has a good point - make the first date with a guy who is a friend - this will show people that you are in the dating world. Also, being someone you know, you will not be awkward or embarassed (as with a new person, sometimes).

I'm not sure, I'm like u. Shy, and a brain. Well, to get a guy's attention, you may need to dress like a prep, or wear something showing off your ***. But that's just awkward and not worth it. Eh, that's only my opinion. Good luck.
