Wine or beer was what people then would drink most often because the water systems were so polluted. It was dangerous to drink the water in many cases. Jesus turned the water into wine because they needed it to drink. They weren't drinking juice and to turn his blood into water would require him to cut himself and they weren't drinking water for reasons I state above. Not everyone drinks to get "plastered."

Ac 2:13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
Ac 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Ac 2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

Simple. Because his mother asked him to. Check the story.
John 2 :3
When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."

The wine Jesus turned it into was not the kind you get drunk on. For Jewish celebration back then they had two different type the pure wine fresh from the vine and then the type that you get drunk on. Jesus made the first, it's used during special occasions. (non-fermented)

I have been taught that wine was fermented juices, and weren't as potent or "alcoholic" as today's wines. He turned the water into wine because the wedding feast wasn't over and they guests would have gone unclenched. He also revealed his miraculous powers.

Wine was always part of secular AND religious celebrations in the world Jesus was born into. The absurd and baseless prohibitions against it (in terms of the congregations) came from later bizarre notions associated with "puritanism."

if he had turned his blood to water then he would die(there is blood running through ur veins, not water). And If he had turned water into juice then it wouldnt be so fun. I mean... wine good, water bad.

It was the custom to be polite and these were his friends.
It was an act of hospitality.
To many came and there wasn't enough wine. It was a celebration. We serve champagne at weddings. What if there wasn't enough to go around. It would make the host look bad and they were his friends. He was helping them to save face.
