Whew! That's a tough question man. I've thought about that many times myself. Peter said he'd never deny Jesus. But when it came down to it, Peter denied him three times. It would be easy to say I could never deny Jesus if I were in the same position as Peter. But all I think I could do is learn from Peter's mistake. I'd probably end up saving my own a$$ so that I wouldn't have to endure the same torture as Jesus. I can't say that I had enough brass to stand up and say "Yes, Jesus is my teacher and I am his follower!" Your answer is yes, I would probably deny Jesus just as Peter did.

I bet it was hard for the prophets to follow jesus because back then the mind set of society was that this was blasphemy and that Jesus really isnt a king. SO if you give in now to what society does even when you know it is wrong I say that you would deny him but if you went your own way and you know something good when you see it I say you wo9uld have followed

Whew! it extremely is a complicated question guy. i've got have been given concept approximately that many circumstances myself. Peter stated he'd by potential of no skill deny Jesus. yet on an identical time because it have been given right here each and each of how all the way down to it, Peter denied him three times. it would be uncomplicated to declare i ought to by potential of no skill deny Jesus if I even have been in a matching place as Peter. yet all i think of of i ought to do is learn from Peter's mistake. i might in all probability finally finally end up saving my own a$$ so as that i does not might want to bear a matching torture as Jesus. i won't be in a position to be in a position to declare that I had sufficient brass to stand up and say "specific, Jesus is my instructor and that i'm his follower!" Your answer is constrained, i might in all probability deny Jesus in certainty as Peter did.

I think many of these self-important, supposedly pius Christians would be standing in the crowd, yelling "Crucify Him! Crucify Him!" Jesus was a liberal in his time, not a conservative. The Sanhedrin was the conservatives of the day. Jesus was killed by these people because he went against the law of the day to establish God's law. Those who think they would run toward him with open arms are blind to reality much like those in the crowd were.

Possibily we would out of fear or some other base instinct.
They were expecting a malitary man to over throw the Roman army that kept them in such horrible life.
Not a simple man who wandered the earth preaching kindness and love. Perhaps there are people today who wander the earth preaching kindness and love and they are from God also and no one is listening to them.

I would like to think I wouldn't - but truthfully, knowing the fear of "association" and peer pressure - and the weakness of our human self - I probably would have done the same thing - and thank God - He would have forgiven me and forgives all of us in our lives when we deny him on a daily basis in big and small ways.

Since I am as human as Peter and would have been just as fearful of losing my life in an inhumane manner as Christ did, I probably would have. I would have felt immeasurable guilt as he did, too.

Yes I would deny him, until I saw proof. I'm not putting all my chips on one number until I have the proof staring me right in the face! So sue me!!

Nope, but just so you know, God made Peter do this for a reason.
