Well that number should scare everybody! The gross domestic product of the US is Billions of dollars!

The GDP is actually in trillions of dollars. I don't know why there war is costing so much. I've seen some very bad financial decisions made on equipment that endangers troops & doesn't last long. That's not the point though is it? You don't leave a war cause it cost too much in dollars, and you shouldn't leave cause it costs a lot in blood.
