Do I have split ends? My hair at the ends are dry and brittle. They also look like I fried them with a curling iron but I have used one since I took out my braids(2 months ago).

Yes. Time to trim and condition. Add oil (carrot oil is non greasy)to your hair before putting curling iron on.

Jam or Pantene has great products to keep your hair hydrated while undergoing heat an for keeping it straight without heat.

You don't need heat for you to get split ends. Your hair is dry and is splitting because it needs mositure. Drink lots and always take your vitamins.

Yeah you do have split ends, what you could do is cut a little of you hair. After that try not to use th curling iron so much. You can get the pantene pro-v thing and things should turn out better.

Sounds like it. Split ends can be caused by many things. Drying products, mistreatment of delicate hair, chemicals. Dead hair will not grow and only splits further. Go to a stylist and have and split damaged hair removed. Dry hair can be treated with deep conditioning. If expense is a problem check out your local beauty college.

You can see split ends....just look at the ends of them! Cholesterol cream can be put on and wrap your hair with a warm towel and leave on about 15 mins. Wash out and do this a couple times a week and Hola! Nice hair again. My hairdresser has me do this treatment just before coloring and I live by it.

After you take out your braids you have to get your hair trimmed. Go to a salon have them put a reconstructer or a deep conditioner on your hair and trim (not cut) the ends its the only way to get rid of that fried look.

Dudley's and Nexus make good hair treatments, that you can buy if you have to wash it your self. I don't think its a good idea to trim your hair your self go to a salon.

sounds like you definately have split ends.
you can get some moisturising conditioner...
but i would also get some hair moisturiser... you can usually get these thru hairdresser salons.
just put a bit on the ends each day and you will notice improvement over time.
first, tho, you need to get your hair trimmed... this will get rid of the damaged part and the moisturiser will help keep your ends healthy.

If they look like a snake's tongue then yes you do. Cut that stuff off and use conditioner more often. Also get product to protect your hair against heat when straitening. Loreal makes one and so does Alberto.

More than likely your has become what is called "Redox damage" this really means that the ends of the hair shaft have become over stretched and beyond repair you must have them cut so they don't continue to damage the rest of your hair shaft.

sounds like spit ends to me. You need a good haircut, that's the only thing that will get rid of split ends. then use conditioner regularly.
