If the word of God is right, does it matter who brings forth His word?

I think so, yes.

Look at it this way, Pastors, Preachers, Revrends, Priests, Bishops and Popes ALL sin, ALL of them. Some lie, some have affairs, some steal, whatever. They try to hide it, and even when it comes out, they don't relinquish their titles. And since there sin is NO GREATER than that of homosexuality, then I'd say yes, completley, and it might even be a church I'd attend.

No one who is living a lifestyle characterized by what the Bible clearly calls sin should have an official position in a church.

If the Pastor is a gossip or a slanderer or can't control his anger or any other condition that isn't in line with the following passage then he shouldn't hold that position in the church.

1 Timothy 3:2 It is necessary, therefore, for a bishop to be irreproachable, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, well-behaved, hospitable, skillful at teaching; 3 not given to wine, not a bully, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not loving money; 4 one ruling his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence; 5 (for if one does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not a new convert, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same judgment as the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good testimony among those outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. 8 Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not being given to much wine, not greedy for money, 9 holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. 10 But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being irreproachable. 11 Likewise their wives must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things. 12 Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children well, and their own houses.

If the Word of God is right, why not read it to find your answer?
The Bible says that leaders of the church should have one wife, be blameless, and have a good testimony, among many other qualifications. So according to God, it does matter who brings forth His Word. I Tim. 3:1-13,
Living in homosexuality is living contrary to God's Word, so they should never be allowed to teach God's Word.
Romans 2:26-28: "For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
vs 27 "Likewise also, the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men commiting what is shameful, and recieving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
vs 28 "And even as they did not retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
vs 32 "who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only dothe same but also approve of those who do them."

What if I were a rapist and I started a clinic to help raped women?

What if I were a person who liked to start fires, would they hire me as a fireman?

What if I was child molester, would they hire me as a elementary school teacher?

What if I were a racist against Blacks, would I be able to lead the NAACP?

What if I were a drug addict, would I be a good pharmacist?

Bottom line, the majority of people think being openly gay is directly opposed to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Many gays are nice people, but they openly flaunt the sin. NO, they should not be leaders of the church.

well in my opinion i will say yes because it does not matter what sex you like or don't to decide on what you should be or do with your life. Take Ellen for example she is famous and has her own show and she is great at it and many others. I know were talking about religion but still. its like saying that black people cant be gong to the same church has white, or that Cristian are better then Jews and you know what that causes. we all are the same even if not similar color of skin, religion, and sexual attractant or gay people. There should never be any discrimination mostly not in church Jesus love you for who you are no matter what and just because they are gay that those not mean they aren't like you or many people.

No never

It is against the word of God for him to be in that position, thus, he can not be such since his /her pure existence in such a position would be speaking against Gods word.

Any church that allows a openly practicing gay into the ministry is no longer a real christian church, merely one now following the desires of man

Several denominations, after much prayer and study of the issue, have made the decision to ordain openly gay men and women. Of course, prior to this time there have been numerous secretly gay individuals who were ordained and were able to deliver the word and adminster pastoral duties without censure.

If a person is "openly gay" meaning that they practice homosexual sex and do not consider it to be a sin then they obviously do not know enough about the bible to be an effective pastor.

If, on the other hand, someone struggles with homosexual desires but recognizes that to engage in homosexual activity would be a sin, they are no less qualified than someone who struggles with other sinful desires such as lust, covetousness, etc.

If a man or woman is openly a bank robber, should he or she be allowed to be head of a church?

If a man or woman is a habitual liar, should he or she be allowed to be head of a church?

If a man or woman is a convicted murderer, should he or she be allowed to be head of a church?

If a man or woman consistently uses profanity, should he or she be allowed to be head of a church?

Here's the best question: If a man or woman is openly and repeatedly committing sin, should he or she be allowed to be head of a church?

The Bible is clear on that--anyone living in patterns of sin should not be elders of a church--regardless of our worldly-rating of how bad or not bad that sin is. We always used the phrase "beyond reproach" when discussing qualifications for elders.

I'ts a hard one, dude, and we'd probably just get in trouble if we brought it up at a church meeting. Heck, for thousands of years adultery was wrong, but now that women initiate 93% of divorces then they just bring out a new bible that says adultery is fine.

Join the men's movement; there's more christian men in there. All to 'come out of' what they see as something rotten that's happened.
