I couldn't count the times.... From the time my girls wake up till they go to bed I am always telling them how much I love them and how pretty they are and just how special they are.... I asked my 6 yr old how she got so special and she said it was because God made her that way. That alone gave me great joy.... I also tell my hubby several times a day in fact he often asks me why I always tell him I love him or what did you think I have forgotten since the last time you told me.... The best way I tell him tho is I ask him "do you know what? ' of course he says what and I give him a big hug and say I love you..... Corny yes but its fun....

once. Though I see your point... I suppose society doesn't bother to speak the words to the dearly loved ones anymore, but dump the words on other people who you barely know.

I have my nieces and nephews for the summer.I tell them all the time that I love them.I think they get tired of hearing it but I mean it !

I love my partner and told him so.I tell him every day and have done so for the past five years we have been together monogamously.

Those are strong words to just throw around.
I use these words sparingly.
The people in my life know because of my actions, not because I say those words with inaction.
